Hi! I’m Jack-Daniyel Strong—most people call me JD. I’m a tech innovator, problem-solver, and advocate for simplifying IT, based in Spokane, Washington. Whether I’m building secure device systems for businesses or baking the perfect sourdough loaf, I thrive on making complex things approachable.

My career has spanned community advocacy, IT engineering, and device management, blending technical expertise with a hands-on approach. With a degree in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University, I’ve spent years helping businesses harness technology to solve real-world problems.

One of my proudest achievements was growing my small Apple consultancy into a full retail Apple Reseller and Service Provider. Over the years, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients—from healthcare practices to law firms and creative professionals in publishing and video production. I’ve implemented solutions like digital signage, data storage, zero-trust networks, and countless other innovations within the Apple ecosystem. Through my company, StrongCare, I continue to monitor, maintain, and configure Macs, iPads, and iPhones, empowering businesses to focus on what they do best.

At the heart of everything I do is a desire to empower others. I believe technology should make life easier, not more complicated. That’s why I’m passionate about creating solutions that are practical, secure, and sustainable. I also enjoy helping teams navigate IT security and compliance with tools that simplify the process, like GitOps-driven workflows.

When I’m not working in tech, I explore my passion for nutrition and food advocacy alongside my partner. I’m an avid plant-based cook and sourdough bread baker—always experimenting in the kitchen. Fun fact: I approach baking with the same creative problem-solving mindset I bring to my work in IT. Both require precision, experimentation, and the satisfaction of creating something meaningful from scratch.

On this blog, I share insights and solutions for IT professionals and small business owners, covering topics like device management, security, and workflow automation. Occasionally, I’ll dive into other areas I’m passionate about, like health advocacy or even the science of baking. My goal is to offer tips, stories, and ideas that are practical, engaging, and worth sharing.

Thank you for visiting my blog! If you’d like to connect or learn more, feel free to reach out on LinkedIn and Mastodon. Find me at a conference such as MDOYVR or PSUMAC. Let’s make something amazing together.
